Just wanted to give my input after finding this thread today attempting to troubleshoot my system.
Parts are:
i5 6600k
EVGA GTX 980 Ti
Crucial 16GB Kit (2x 6GB) CT2K8G4DFD8213
MSi Z170A Gaming M7
Corsair AX860
I'm having the same issues ...
