At default it should be reading 2133.It can do 3000 but that's overclocking, either by selecting XMP profile or manual settings.Have you tried a single memory stick in slots 5 and 7? Try 6 and 8 too.

Should there be an entry in the BIOS settings for Intel ME?I looked through all my BIOS settings menus (Advanced,Boot,Security,etc...) and I can't find a single entry that mentions Intel ME.
